Title: Low‐dimensional perovskite materials and their optoelectronics
Abstract

Three‐dimensional (3D) organic–inorganic metal halide perovskite materials possess great potential applications for approaching efficient optoelectronics due to the unique optoelectronic properties of perovskite materials and cost‐effective manufacturing possibilities of optoelectronics. However, the scientific and technical challenges of 3D perovskite materials were their inferior long‐term stability, which hampered their practical applications. The low‐dimensional perovskite materials composed of alternating organic and inorganic layers are one of the most credible paths toward stable perovskite photovoltaics and optoelectronics. In this short review, we first present a discussion of the crystal structure and nontrivial optoelectronic properties of the low‐dimensional halide perovskites. The synthetic methods for the preparation of the low‐dimensional halide perovskites are reviewed. After that, we focus on the recent development of perovskite photovoltaics, light‐emitting diodes, and lasers by the low‐dimensional halide perovskites. Finally, we outline the challenges of the low‐dimensional halide perovskites and their applications.

  1. Abstract

Lead halide perovskites (LHPs), have attracted considerable attention across various applications owing to their exceptional optoelectronic properties. However, the main challenge hindering the broad adoption of lead halide perovskites lies in their stability and toxicity. In this review, we summarize the outstanding properties of platinum (Pt) halide perovskites, with a particular focus on the stability and applications of Cs2PtI6and its derivatives. Cs2PtI6has shown promising efficiency for photovoltaic devices, as well as photoelectrochemical water splitting with stable behavior in acid or basic conditions. Cs2PtI6also shows promise in gas sensing and thermoelectric devices. The emergence of 2D Pt (II) halide perovskites opens up new avenues for environmentally friendly materials for photonic and optoelectronic devices like room temperature phosphoresce and triplet‐triplet annihilation (TTA) based up‐conversion.

  2. We analyze the role of spectral diffusion in the problem of many‐body delocalization in quantum dots and in extended systems. The spectral diffusion parametrically enhances delocalization, modifying the scaling of the delocalization threshold with the interaction coupling constant.image

The direct arylation of weakly acidicsp3‐hybridized C–H bondsviadeprotonated cross‐coupling processes (DCCP) is a challenge. Herein, a palladium(NIXANTPHOS)‐based catalyst for the monoarylation of 4‐pyridylmethyl 2‐aryl ethers to generate diarylated 4‐pyridyl methyl ethers is introduced. Furthermore, under similar conditions, the diarylation of 4‐pyridyl methyl ethers with aryl bromides has been developed. These methods enable the synthesis of new pyridine derivatives, which are common in medicinally active compounds and have applications in materials science.

  4. Abstract

Phosphorus‐containing compounds have a long history of utility in a broad range of fields, including agricultural, pharmaceutical, and metal‐mediated reactions. In recent decades, numerous methods have been developed to streamline the synthesis of organophosphorus reagents based on these numerous applications. This review focuses upon the recent development of phosphorus(III)‐ and phosphorus(V)‐directed C−H borylation reactions. This transformation has evolved significantly in the past two years, resulting in several new methods that provide access to organic substrates containing both phosphorus and boron. Further functionalization of the carbon−boron bond to provide functionalized organophosphorus products is discussed.

  5. Abstract

Commercial gold nanoparticles supported on titanium dioxide (TiO2) were found to be a highly efficient catalyst for alkyne hydroamination. Terminal alkynes could easily undergo intermolecular hydroamination with low catalyst loadings (0.2 mol% Au) under solvent‐free conditions. Indoles were efficiently synthesized using microwave heating through intramolecular hydroamination.
