Title: Measurement of CP asymmetries in B0→η′KS0 decays at Belle II
We describe a measurement of charge-parity ( C P ) violation asymmetries in B 0 η K S 0 decays using Belle II data. We consider η η ( γ γ ) π + π and η ρ ( π + π ) γ decays. The data were collected at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy e + e collider between the years 2019 and 2022, and contain ( 387 ± 6 ) × 10 6 bottom-antibottom meson pairs. We reconstruct 829 ± 35 signal decays and extract the C P violating parameters from a fit to the distribution of the proper-decay-time difference between the two B mesons. The measured direct and mixing-induced C P asymmetries are C η K S 0 = 0.19 ± 0.08 ± 0.03 and S η K S 0 = + 0.67 ± 0.10 ± 0.03 , respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic.   1. A study is presented of B + K S 0 K π + K + and B + K S 0 K + π K + decays based on the analysis of proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb 1 . The K S 0 K π invariant-mass distributions of both B + decay modes show, in the m ( K S 0 K π ) < 1.85 GeV mass region, large activity which is resolved using an amplitude analysis. A simple model, where J P C amplitudes are described by multiple Breit-Wigner functions with appropriate angular distributions, provides a good description of the experimental data. In this approach a complex mixture of J P C = 0 + , 1 + + and 1 + amplitudes is observed that is dominated by η ( 1405 ) , η ( 1470 ) , η ( 1760 ) , f 1 ( 1285 ) , f 1 ( 1420 ) and h 1 ( 1405 ) resonances. The K S 0 K π Dalitz plots are dominated by asymmetric crossing K * K ¯ bands which are different for the two B + decay modes. This is due to a different interference pattern between the 1 + + and 1 + amplitudes in the two channels. A comprehensive study of the angular distributions in the bottom-baryon decays Λ b 0 Λ c + h ( h = π , K ) , followed by Λ c + Λ h + with Λ p π or Λ c + p K S 0 decays, is performed using a data sample of proton-proton collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb 1 collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The decay parameters and the associated charge-parity ( C P ) asymmetries are measured, with no significant C P violation observed. For the first time, the Λ b 0 Λ c + h decay parameters are measured. The most precise measurements of the decay parameters α , β , and γ are obtained for Λ c + decays and an independent measurement of the decay parameters for the strange-baryon Λ decay is provided. A study of Λ b 0 and Ξ b 0 decays to Λ h + h ( h ( ) = π , K ) is performed using p p collision data collected by the LHCb experiment during LHC Runs 1–2, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb 1 . The branching fractions for these decays are measured using the Λ b 0 Λ c + ( Λ π + ) π decay as a control channel. The decays Λ b 0 Λ π + π and Ξ b 0 Λ K π + are observed for the first time. For decay modes with sufficient signal yields, C P asymmetries are measured in the full and localized regions of the final-state phase space. Evidence is found for C P violation in the Λ b 0 Λ K + K decay, interpreted as originating primarily from an asymmetric Λ b 0 N * + K decay amplitude.   4. We search for excited charmed baryons in the Λ c + η system using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 980 fb 1 . The data were collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e + e asymmetric-energy collider. No significant signals are found in the Λ c + η mass spectrum, including the known Λ c ( 2880 ) + and Λ c ( 2940 ) + . Clear Λ c ( 2880 ) + and Λ c ( 2940 ) + signals are observed in the p D 0 mass spectrum. We set upper limits at 90% credibility level on ratios of branching fractions of Λ c ( 2880 ) + and Λ c ( 2940 ) + decaying to Λ c + η relative to Σ c ( 2455 ) π of < 0.13 for the Λ c ( 2880 ) + and < 1.11 for the Λ c ( 2940 ) + . We measure ratios of branching fractions of Λ c ( 2880 ) + and Λ c ( 2940 ) + decaying to p D 0 relative to Σ c ( 2455 ) π of 0.75 ± 0.03 ( stat ) ± 0.07 ( syst ) for the Λ c ( 2880 ) + and 3.59 ± 0.21 ( stat ) ± 0.56 ( syst ) for the Λ c ( 2940 ) + . We report measurements of time-dependent C P asymmetries in B 0 K S 0 π 0 γ decays based on a data sample of ( 388 ± 6 ) × 10 6 B B ¯ events collected at the ϒ ( 4 S ) resonance with the Belle II detector. The Belle II experiment operates at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy e + e collider. We measure decay-time distributions to determine C P -violating parameters S and C . We determine these parameters for two ranges of K S 0 π 0 invariant mass: m ( K S 0 π 0 ) ( 0.8 , 1.0 ) GeV / c 2 , which is dominated by B 0 K * 0 ( K S 0 π 0 ) γ decays, and a complementary region m ( K S 0 π 0 ) ( 0.6 , 0.8 ) ( 1.0 , 1.8 ) GeV / c 2 . Our results have improved precision as compared to previous measurements and are consistent with theory predictions. Published by the American Physical Society2025
