A study is presented of and decays based on the analysis of proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of . The invariant-mass distributions of both decay modes show, in the mass region, large activity which is resolved using an amplitude analysis. A simple model, where amplitudes are described by multiple Breit-Wigner functions with appropriate angular distributions, provides a good description of the experimental data. In this approach a complex mixture of , and amplitudes is observed that is dominated by , , , , and resonances. The Dalitz plots are dominated by asymmetric crossing bands which are different for the two decay modes. This is due to a different interference pattern between the and amplitudes in the two channels. Branching fractions are measured for each resonant contribution. © 2025 CERN, for the LHCb Collaboration2025CERN

We describe a measurement of charge-parity ( ) violation asymmetries in decays using Belle II data. We consider and decays. The data were collected at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy collider between the years 2019 and 2022, and contain bottom-antibottom meson pairs. We reconstruct signal decays and extract the violating parameters from a fit to the distribution of the proper-decay-time difference between the two mesons. The measured direct and mixing-induced asymmetries are and , respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. These results are in agreement with current world averages and standard model predictions. Published by the American Physical Society2024

A comprehensive study of the angular distributions in the bottom-baryon decays , followed by with or decays, is performed using a data sample of proton-proton collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The decay parameters and the associated charge-parity ( ) asymmetries are measured, with no significant violation observed. For the first time, the decay parameters are measured. The most precise measurements of the decay parameters , , and are obtained for decays and an independent measurement of the decay parameters for the strange-baryon decay is provided. The results deepen our understanding of weak decay dynamics in baryon decays. © 2024 CERN, for the LHCb Collaboration2024CERNmore » « less

A study of and decays to ( ) is performed using collision data collected by the LHCb experiment during LHC Runs 1–2, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of . The branching fractions for these decays are measured using the decay as a control channel. The decays and are observed for the first time. For decay modes with sufficient signal yields, asymmetries are measured in the full and localized regions of the final-state phase space. Evidence is found for violation in the decay, interpreted as originating primarily from an asymmetric decay amplitude. The measured asymmetries for other decays are compatible with zero. © 2025 CERN, for the LHCb Collaboration2025CERNmore » « less

We report measurements of time-dependent asymmetries in decays based on a data sample of events collected at the resonance with the Belle II detector. The Belle II experiment operates at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy collider. We measure decay-time distributions to determine -violating parameters and . We determine these parameters for two ranges of invariant mass: , which is dominated by decays, and a complementary region . Our results have improved precision as compared to previous measurements and are consistent with theory predictions. Published by the American Physical Society2025more » « less
