We report the first evidence for the transition with a significance of 3.5 standard deviations. The decay branching fraction is measured to be , which is noticeably smaller than expected. We also set upper limits on transitions of , and , at the 90% confidence level. Observation of e+e−→ηϒ(2S) and search for e+e−→ηϒ(1S) , γXb at s near 10.75 GeV
We present an analysis of the processes , , and with ( , 2) reconstructed from final states in of Belle II data collected at four energy points near the peak of the resonance. Here, is a hypothetical bottomonium-sector partner of the . In the process , we observe a signal with a significance that exceeds when all energy points are combined. A signal with a significance of is observed at a center-of-mass energy of 10.653 GeV, close to the threshold. At this energy, we measure at the 90% confidence level, indicating a strong violation of heavy-quark spin symmetry. No significant signal is observed for or . Upper limits on the Born cross sections for the processes and with are determined.

We present a determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element from the decay using a data sample recorded by the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB collider. The semileptonic decay of one meson is reconstructed in the modes and , where denotes either an electron or a muon. Charge conjugation is implied. The second meson in the event is not reconstructed explicitly. Using an inclusive reconstruction of the unobserved neutrino momentum, we determine the recoil variable , where and are the four-velocities of the and mesons. We measure the total decay branching fractions to be and . We probe lepton flavor universality by measuring . Fitting the partial decay branching fraction as a function of and using the average of lattice QCD calculations of the form factor, we obtain .more » « less

We report decay-rate asymmetries of the singly-Cabibbo-suppressed decays and , with , , measured using of collisions collected by the Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB collider. The results, , , , , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic, agree with symmetry. From these results we derive the sums , , which are consistent with the -spin symmetry prediction of zero. These are the first measurements of asymmetries for individual hadronic three-body charmed-baryon decays.more » « less

The ratio of branching fractions , where is an electron or muon, is measured using a Belle II data sample with an integrated luminosity of at the SuperKEKB asymmetric-energy collider. Data is collected at the resonance, and one meson in the decay is fully reconstructed in hadronic decay modes. The accompanying signal meson is reconstructed as using leptonic decays. The normalization decay, , produces the same observable final-state particles. The ratio of branching fractions is extracted in a simultaneous fit to two signal-discriminating variables in both channels and yields .
