However, how this new technology will influence community resilience and adaptation planning is currently unclear. This article: (1) offers a scoping review of existing studies constructing UDTs, (2) identifies challenges and opportunities of UDT technologies for community adaptation planning, and (3) develops a conceptual framework of UDTs for community infrastructure resilience. This article highlights the need for integrating multi-agent interactions, artificial intelligence, and coupled natural–physical–social systems into a human-centered UDTs framework to improve community infrastructure resilience.</dc:description><dc:publisher>SAGE</dc:publisher><dc:date>2023-05-01</dc:date><dc:nsf_par_id>10448745</dc:nsf_par_id><dc:journal_name>Journal of Planning Literature</dc:journal_name><dc:journal_volume>38</dc:journal_volume><dc:journal_issue>2</dc:journal_issue><dc:page_range_or_elocation>187 to 199</dc:page_range_or_elocation><dc:issn>0885-4122</dc:issn><dc:isbn/><dc:doi>https://doi.org/10.1177/08854122221137861</dc:doi><dcq:identifierAwardId>2122054</dcq:identifierAwardId><dc:subject/><dc:version_number/><dc:location/><dc:rights/><dc:institution/><dc:sponsoring_org>National Science Foundation</dc:sponsoring_org></record></records></rdf:RDF>
