More specifically, practices in engineering ethics education can lead to negative moral consequences if not conducted appropriately. Engineering ethics educators are often passionate about teaching students ways to examine the ethical implications of engineering and technology. However, ethics educators may overlook the moral significance of their instructional classroom practices. In this paper, we discuss two issues: First, we discuss the moral impacts of ethics curriculum and pedagogies on students’ learning experiences. Then we discuss the professional responsibilities of educators who are involved in designing ethics learning experiences for engineering students. The reflections presented in this paper will serve as catalysts for more comprehensive discussions regarding the impact of engineering ethics education on the ethical development of engineering students.</dc:description><dc:publisher>Teaching Ethics</dc:publisher><dc:date>2024-04-09</dc:date><dc:nsf_par_id>10515045</dc:nsf_par_id><dc:journal_name>Teaching Ethics</dc:journal_name><dc:journal_volume/><dc:journal_issue/><dc:page_range_or_elocation/><dc:issn>1544-4031</dc:issn><dc:isbn/><dc:doi>https://doi.org/10.5840/tej202448145</dc:doi><dcq:identifierAwardId>2316634; 2521831</dcq:identifierAwardId><dc:subject>Engineering Ethics Education</dc:subject><dc:subject>Ethics Curriculum</dc:subject><dc:subject>Ethics Pedagogies</dc:subject><dc:subject>Professional Ethics of Ethics Educators</dc:subject><dc:subject>Cultural Foundations of Engineering Ethics</dc:subject><dc:version_number/><dc:location/><dc:rights/><dc:institution/><dc:sponsoring_org>National Science Foundation</dc:sponsoring_org></record></records></rdf:RDF>
