  1. In the bottomonium sector, the hindered magnetic dipole transitions between P-wave states hb (2P) χbJ (1P)γ , J=0 , 1, 2, are expected to be severely suppressed according to the relativized quark model, due to the spin flip of the b quark. Nevertheless, a recent model following the coupled-channel approach predicts the corresponding branching fractions to be enhanced by orders of magnitude. In this Letter, we report the first search for such transitions. We find no significant signals and set upper limits at 90% confidence level on the corresponding branching fractions: B[ hb (2P)γ χb0 (1P)]<2.7×101 , B[ hb (2P)γ χb1 (1P)]<5.4×103 and B[ hb (2P)γ χb2 (1P)]<1.3×102 . These values help to constrain the parameters of the coupled-channel models. The results are obtained using a 121.4fb1 data sample taken around s=10.860GeV with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e collider. Published by the American Physical Society2025

  2. Abstract We study the processesχbJωandχbJ+ππ0)non−ω(J= 0, 1, 2) at center-of-mass energies$$\sqrt{s}$$from 10.73 to 11.02 GeV using a 142.5 fb−1data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energye+ecollider; and at$$\sqrt{s}\sim 10.75$$GeV using a 19.8 fb−1sample collected with Belle II at SuperKEKB. We find that the Υ(10753) state decays intoχbJωbut not intoχbJ+ππ0)non−ω, while the Υ(10860) state, in contrast, decays intoχbJ+ππ0)non−ωbut not intoχbJω. The mass and width of the Υ(10753) state are measured to be (10756.1 ± 3.4(stat.) ± 2.7(syst.)) MeV/c2and (32.2 ± 11.3(stat.) ± 14.9(syst.)) MeV. The products of the partial width toe+eand branching fractions for Υ(10753)→ χb1ωand Υ(10753)→ χb2ωare (1.57±0.27(stat.)±0.22(syst.)) eV and (1.39±0.41(stat.)±0.33(syst.)) eV.

  3. Abstract Using the data samples of 102 million Υ(1S) and 158 million Υ(2S) events collected by the Belle detector, we search for a pentaquark state in thepJ/ψfinal state from Υ(1,2S) inclusive decays. Here, the charge-conjugate$$\overline{p }J/\psi $$is included. We observe clearpJ/ψproduction in Υ(1,2S) decays and measure the branching fractions to be$$\mathcal{B}[\Upsilon (1S)\to pJ/\psi +anything]=[8.1\pm 0.6(stat.)\pm 0.5(syst.)]\times {10}^{-5}$$and$$\mathcal{B}[\Upsilon (2S)\to pJ/\psi +anything]=[4.3\pm 0.5(stat.)\pm 0.4(syst.)]\times {10}^{-5}$$. We also measure the cross section of inclusivepJ/ψproduction ine+eannihilation to beσ(e+e→pJ/ψ+anything) = [108 ± 11(stat.) ± 6(syst.)] fb at$$\sqrt{s}=10.52$$GeV using an 89.5 fb−1continuum data sample. There is no significantPc(4312)+,Pc(4440)+orPc(4457)+signal found in thepJ/ψfinal states in Υ(1,2S) inclusive decays. We determine the upper limits of$$\mathcal{B}\left[\Upsilon \left({1},{2}S\right)\to {P}_{c}^{+}+anything\right]\cdot \mathcal{B}\left({P}_{c}^{+}\to pJ/\psi \right)$$to be at the 10−6level.

  4. We report the first evidence for the hb (2P)ϒ(1S)η transition with a significance of 3.5 standard deviations. The decay branching fraction is measured to be B[ hb (2P)ϒ(1S)η]=( 7.13.2+3.7 ±0.8)×103 , which is noticeably smaller than expected. We also set upper limits on π0 transitions of B[ hb (2P)ϒ(1S)π0]<1.8×103 , and B[ hb (1P)ϒ(1S)π0]<1.8×103 , at the 90% confidence level. These results are obtained with a 131.4fb1 data sample collected near the ϒ(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e collider. 5. We search for excited charmed baryons in the Λc+η system using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 980fb1 . The data were collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e asymmetric-energy collider. No significant signals are found in the Λc+η mass spectrum, including the known Λc(2880)+ and Λc(2940)+ . Clear Λc(2880)+ and Λc(2940)+ signals are observed in the pD0 mass spectrum. We set upper limits at 90% credibility level on ratios of branching fractions of Λc(2880)+ and Λc(2940)+ decaying to Λc+η relative to Σc(2455)π of <0.13 for the Λc(2880)+ and <1.11 for the Λc(2940)+ . We measure ratios of branching fractions of Λc(2880)+ and Λc(2940)+ decaying to pD0 relative to Σc(2455)π of 0.75±0.03(stat)±0.07(syst) for the Λc(2880)+ and 3.59±0.21(stat)±0.56(syst) for the Λc(2940)+ . 6. We perform an angular analysis of the BK*e+e decay for the dielectron mass squared, q2 , range of 0.00081.1200GeV2/c4 using the full Belle dataset in the K*0K+π and K*+KS0π+ channels, incorporating new methods of electron identification to improve the statistical power of the dataset. This analysis is sensitive to contributions from right-handed currents from physics beyond the Standard Model by constraining the Wilson coefficients C7() . We perform a fit to the BK*e+e differential decay rate and measure the imaginary component of the transversality amplitude to be ATIm=1.27±0.52±0.12 , and the K* transverse asymmetry to be AT(2) =0.52±0.53±0.11 , with FL and ATRe fixed to the Standard Model values. The resulting constraints on the value of C7 are consistent with the Standard Model within a 2σ confidence interval. Published by the American Physical Society2024

  7. We report the results of the first search for Standard Model and baryon-number-violating two-body decays of the neutral B mesons to Λ0 and Ωc(*)0 using 711fb1 of data collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e collider. We observe no evidence of signal from any such decays and set 95% confidence-level upper limits on the products of B0 and B¯ 0 branching fractions for these two-body decays with B( Ωc0 π+Ω) in the range between 9.5×108 and 31.2×108 . 8. We measure the complete set of angular coefficients Ji for exclusive B¯ D* ν¯ decays ( =e , μ ). Our analysis uses the full 711fb1 Belle dataset with hadronic tag-side reconstruction. The results allow us to extract the form factors describing the B¯D* transition and the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element | Vcb | . Using recent lattice QCD calculations for the hadronic form factors, we find | Vcb |=(40.7±0.7)×103 using the Boyd-Grinstein-Lebed parametrization, compatible with determinations from inclusive semileptonic decays. We search for lepton flavor universality violation as a function of the hadronic recoil parameter w and investigate the differences of the electron and muon angular distributions. We find no deviation from standard model expectations. Published by the American Physical Society2024

  9. We report the results of the first search for B decays to the Ξ¯ c0 Λ¯ c final state using 711fb1 of data collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e collider. The results are interpreted in terms of both direct baryon-number-violating B decay and Ξc0 Ξ¯ c0 oscillations which follow the standard model decay B Ξc0 Λ¯ c . We observe no evidence for baryon number violation and set the 95% confidence-level upper limits on the ratio of baryon-number-violating and standard model branching fractions B(B Ξ¯ c0 Λ¯ c ) / B(B Ξc0 Λ¯ c ) to be <2.7% and on the effective angular frequency of mixing ω in Ξc0 Ξ¯ c0 oscillations to be <0.76ps1 (equivalent to τmix >1.3ps ).
