  1. A<sc>bstract</sc> This paper presents a study of the charmless three-body decays$$ {B}_{(s)}^0\to {K}_{\mathrm{S}}^0{h}^{+}h{\prime}^{-} $$ Bs0 KS0h+h (whereh()=π, K), using a sample ofppcollision data collected by the LHCb experiment during Runs 1 and 2 of the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb−1.   2. The time-dependent CP asymmetry in B0J/ψρ(770)0 decays is measured using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6fb1 , collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV during the years 2015–2018. The CP -violation parameters for this process are determined to be 2 β c c¯ d eff =0.710±0.084±0.051rad and |λ|=1.019±0.034±0.024 , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This constitutes the first observation of time-dependent CP violation in B0J/ψρ(770)0 decays. Assuming approximate SU(3) flavor symmetry, these results are combined with the previous consistent LHCb measurement to set the most stringent constraint on the penguin contribution, Δϕs , to the CP -violating phase ϕs in Bs0J/ψϕ(1020) decays, yielding Δϕs=5.0±4.6mrad

  3. Muon-electron universality is tested in B0K*0+ decays, in the dilepton-invariant-mass region above the ψ(2S) resonance. The analysis uses beauty mesons produced in proton-proton collisions recorded by the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9fb1 . The ratio of branching fractions between the muon and electron channels RK*0 is measured to be 1.080.12+0.14 (stat)±0.07(syst) for a dilepton-invariant-mass squared above 14.0GeV2/c4 , consistent with the standard model prediction. This result represents the most precise measurement of RK*0 in this region and the first such measurement performed at a hadron collider.

  4. The first observation of the doubly charmed baryon Ξcc+ is reported through its decay to the Λc+ Kπ+ final state, with a statistical significance exceeding seven standard deviations. The observation is made using proton-proton collision data collected in 2024 with the LHCb Run 3 detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13.6 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 6.9fb1 . The Ξcc+ mass is measured to be 3619.97±0.83± 0.261.30+1.90 MeV/c2 , where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is due to the unknown Ξcc+ lifetime, which is assumed to lie in the range 15–160 fs with a baseline value of 45 fs. The difference between the masses of the Ξcc+ and Ξcc++ baryons is determined to be 1.77±0.84± 0.151.30+1.90 MeV/c2 . This is the first observation of a new particle made with the LHCb Run 3 detector.

  5. A search for the rare decay B+ Λ¯ pμ+μ is performed using proton-proton collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of s =13TeV , corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4fb1 . An excess of events is found with respect to the background-only expectation, with a signal significance of 3.5 standard deviations, in the low invariant-mass region of m( Λ¯ p)<2.8GeV/c2 . The branching fraction is measured to be Blow (B+ Λ¯ pμ+μ )= (1.7 00.56+0.65 (stat)±0.17(syst)±0.14(ext)) ×108 , where the last uncertainty is due to external inputs on B(B+ J/ψ Λ¯ p )×B(J/ψμ+μ) . With no significant signal observed in the high m(Λ¯p) region above 2.8GeV/c2 , an upper limit is set to be Bhigh (B+ Λ¯ pμ+μ )<2.8(3.7)×109 at the 90% (95%) confidence level.

  6. An analysis of the B0K*0(K+π)μ+μ decay is presented using proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 8.4fb1 . The full set of CP -averaged and CP -asymmetric angular observables is determined in bins of the invariant mass squared of the dimuon system, as well as the branching fraction relative to the B0J/ψ(μ+μ)K+π decay. For the first time, the full set of observables pertaining to the K+π S-wave contribution to the final state are presented and consideration is given to effects arising from the mass of the muons. The extracted CP -asymmetry observables show no significant deviations from zero. The measurements of the CP -averaged observables and the branching fractions continue to exhibit the pattern of tensions with the standard model predictions that have been seen in previous analyses that use part of the dataset considered in this Letter.

The decay B0 Λc+ Λ¯ c KS0 is studied at LHCb for the first time using proton-proton collision data recorded by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of s=13TeV , corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4fb1 . The branching ratio relative to the decay B+ Λc+ Λ¯ c K+ is measured to be [ B(B0 Λc+ Λ¯ c KS0 )]/[B(B+ Λc+ Λ¯ c K+)]=0.53±0.05±0.05 where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Evidence is found for contributions from two resonant states, Ξc(2923)+ and Ξc(2939)+ , in the Λc+KS0 system. The two states show a significance of 3.9σ relative to the nonresonant hypothesis. These two Ξc+ states are consistent with being the isospin partners of the states observed in the Λc+K system.

  8. We present the measurement of π+ -argon inelastic cross sections using the ProtoDUNE single-phase liquid argon time projection chamber in the incident π+ kinetic energy range of 500–800 MeV in multiple exclusive channels (absorption, charge exchange, and the remaining inelastic interactions). The results of this analysis are important inputs to simulations of liquid argon neutrino experiments such as the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment and the Short Baseline Neutrino program at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. They will be employed to improve the modeling of final state interactions within neutrino event generators used by these experiments, as well as the modeling of π+ -argon secondary interactions within the liquid argon. This is the first measurement of π+ -argon absorption at this kinetic energy range as well as the first ever measurement of π+ -argon charge exchange.

  9. The collinear and transverse-momentum-dependent jet fragmentation function and the radial profile for B± mesons in jets are measured. The B± mesons are reconstructed through the J/ψ(μ+μ)K± decay channel using proton-proton collision data collected during 2016–2018 with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass (c.m.) energy of s=13TeV , corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4fb1 . The results complement recent measurements of jet fragmentation functions for heavy-flavor hadrons and suggest a growing contribution of gluon fragmentation to B± mesons as the jet transverse momentum increases.

  10. A flavor-tagged time-dependent analysis of B0 KS0 μ+μ decays is performed across the full dimuon mass range excluding the J/ψ and ψ(2S) resonance regions. The analysis uses proton-proton collision data collected by the LHCb experiment in 2011–2018 at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9fb1 . The CP violation parameters are determined to be C=0.13±0.32±0.04 , S=+0.82±0.29±0.05 , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The results are consistent with the standard model prediction. This is the first experimental study of time-dependent CP violation in bs+ processes.
