Efficient Collection and Detection of Color Center Emission in Triangular Nanophotonic Geometry of Silicon Carbide
Angle-etching fabrication produces state-of-the-art color center triangular nanophotonic devices. We uncover how the photonic band gap is formed in the triangular geometry and utilized for efficient detection from SiC waveguide into overlaid NbTiN detectors.

We investigate fermionic Mott insulators in a geometrically frustrated triangular lattice, a paradigm model system for studying spin liquids and spontaneous time-reversal symmetry breaking. Our study demonstrates the preparation of triangular Mott insulators and reveals antiferromagnetic spin-spin correlations among all nearest neighbors. We employ a real-space triangular-geometry quantum gas microscope to measure density and spin observables. Comparing experimental results with calculations based on numerical linked cluster expansions and quantum Monte Carlo techniques, we demonstrate thermometry in the frustrated system. Our experimental platform introduces an alternative approach to frustrated lattices which paves the way for future investigations of exotic quantum magnetism which may lead to a direct detection of quantum spin liquids in Hubbard systems.more » « less

Radosław Adamczak, Nathael Gozlan (Ed.)In this paper we survey some recent progress on the Gaussian approximation for nonstationary dependent structures via martingale methods. First we present general theorems involving projective conditions for triangular arrays of random variables and then present various applications for rho-mixing and alpha-dependent triangular arrays, stationary sequences in a random time scenery, application to the quenched FCLT, application to linear statistics with alpha-dependent innovations, application to functions of a triangular stationary Markov chain.more » « less

Abstract We compare the homological support and tensor triangular support for ‘big’ objects in a rigidly-compactly generated tensor triangulated category. We prove that the comparison map from the homological spectrum to the tensor triangular spectrum is a bijection and that the two notions of support coincide whenever the category is stratified, extending the work of Balmer. Moreover, we clarify the relations between salient properties of support functions and exhibit counter-examples highlighting the differences between homological and tensor triangular support.more » « less

Triangular cross-section nanodevices are among the leading approaches for integrating color centers with photonics for applications in quantum information processing. We design periodic and aperiodic fishbone triangular grating couplers in silicon carbide. We optimize the designs for achieving up to ∼ 31% collection efficiency from color center integrated triangular devices to a microscopy system. Using an ion beam angle etching process, we demonstrate proof-of-principle fabrication of the designed devices for future implementation in wafer-scale quantum nanophotonics.more » « less
