Title: Aasiaat 50 meter bathymetry grid, July 2020 - July 2021
Seafloor bathymetry map of the Aasiaat region, Western Greenland, measured as part of the "Greenland Rising" project. The project is a US National Science Foundation funded collaboration between Columbia University and the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources with a goal to map shallow-water areas around coastal communities. Mapping was undertaken from the vessel "Sanna" in July-August 2020 and from a smaller charter vessel in July 2021 to map shallow-water regions. Datasets from both surveys have been merged to a single grid.  more » « less

  3. Four small coastal moorings were deployed in water depths of ~5-6 meters (m) on the Colville Delta front and one site farther west for a period of approximately one week in Jul/Aug 2021. Moorings were outfitted with sensors to collect a variety of data including water levels (at all sites), turbidity/total suspended solids, water velocity, salinity, temperature, and light intensity. Light intensity measurements were also collected from a vessel-mounted sensor (included in the MM3 data package) to allow for calculation of light attenuation at the mooring. These data are described more fully in a companion publication (Eidam, "Summertime water and particle properties on an ice-influenced Arctic shelf", in prep as of March 2025).

  4. Twelve temperature and salinity profiles from Sermilik Fjord in Southeast Greenland. The profiles were collected using Sippican XCTD-1 eXpendable Conductivity Temperature Depth (XCTD) probes hand deployed from a helicopter. The profiles were collected on July 12, 2023 in the ice mélange of Helheim Glacier and in the northern portion of Sermilik Fjord, including Midgaard Fjord. The profiles were manually examined, quality controlled, and are provided as 2-meter (m) depth bin averaged profiles. These data were collected as part of a long-term project to monitor Sermilik Fjord to determine what water masses flow into and out of the fjord; in particular, if warm, Atlantic water from the Irminger Sea penetrates into the fjord and how freshwater from ice melt is diluted and transported out of the fjord. Observations have been collected in the fjord since 2008.

  5. {"Abstract":["The compressed tarball archive contains the simulation files for the Fourth of July Creek basin in the White Clouds mountains of central Idah0, USA under wet, normal, and dry flow conditions using reconstructed, transient inputs. This archive builds on the "Fourth of July Creek Ensemble Simulation Outputs" (doi: 10.7273/000004796) by adding consideration of fully transient conditions and the associated uncertainty. Combined with that archive, all the files necessary to reproduce the runs are provided here. The runs are computationally demanding so this archive also contains the minimally processed datasets of the large outputs including pressure heads and/or streamflow at the monitoring locations and streamflow along the main stem of the creek. Contained in the "Output" folder is the dataset (saved as a Matlab data object) and scripts to plot the responses at monitoring locations or along the main stem."]}
