Title: Crystal structure of (1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaoxacyclooctadecane-κ 6 O )potassium-μ-oxalato-triphenylstannate(IV), the first reported 18-crown-6-stabilized potassium salt of triphenyloxalatostannate
The title complex, (1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaoxacyclooctadecane-1κ6O)(μ-oxalato-1κ2O1,O2:2κ2O1′,O2′)triphenyl-2κ3C-potassium(I)tin(IV), [KSn(C6H5)3(C2O4)(C12H24O6)] or K[18-Crown-6][(C6H5)3SnO4C2], was synthesized. The complex consists of a potassium cation coordinated to the six oxygen atoms of a crown ether molecule and the two oxygen atoms of the oxalatotriphenylstannate anion. It crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system within the space groupP21. The tin atom is coordinated by one chelating oxalate ligand and three phenyl groups, forming acis-trigonal–bipyramidal geometry around the tin atom. The cations and anions form ion pairs, linked through carbonyl coordination to the potassium atoms. The crystal structure features C—H...O hydrogen bonds between the oxygen atoms of the oxalate group and the hydrogen atoms of the phenyl groups, resulting in an infinite chain structure extending alonga-axis direction.     N , N ′-Di- tert -butylcarbodiimide, Me 3 CN=C=NCMe 3 , undergoes reductive cleavage in the presence of the Gd II complex, [K(18-crown-6) 2 ][Gd II (N R 2 ) 3 ] ( R = SiMe 3 ), to form a new type of ligand, the tert -butylcyanamide anion, (Me 3 CNCN) − . This new ligand can bind metals with one or two donor atoms as demonstrated by the isolation of a single crystal containing potassium salts of both end-on and side-on bound tert -butylcyanamide anions, (Me 3 CNCN) − . The crystal contains [K(18-crown-6)(H 2 O)][NCNCMe 3 - kN ], in which one ( t BuNCN) − anion is coordinated end-on to potassium ligated by 18-crown-6 and water, as well as [K(18-crown-6)][η 2 -NCNCMe 3 ], in which an 18-crown-6 potassium is coordinated side-on to the terminal N—C linkage. This single crystal also contains one equivalent of 1,3-di- tert -butyl urea, (C 9 H 20 N 2 O), which is involved in hydrogen bonding that may stabilize the whole assembly, namely, aqua( tert -butylcyanamidato)(1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaoxacyclooctadecane)potassium(I)–( tert -butylcyanamidato)(1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaoxacyclooctadecane)potassium(I)– N , N ′-di- tert -butylcarbodiimide (1/1/1) [K(C 5 H 9 N 2 )(C 12 H 24 O 6 )]·[K(C 5 H 9 N 2 )(C 12 H 24 O 6 )(H 2 O)]·C 9 H 20 N 2 .

  2. Crystals of the title salt, (C8H20N)[Sn(C6H5)3(C2H2O2S)], comprise diisobutylammonium cations and mercaptoacetatotriphenylstannate(IV) anions. The bidentate binding mode of the mercaptoacetate ligand gives rise to a five-coordinated, ionic triphenyltin complex with a distortedcis-trigonal–bipyramidal geometry around the tin atom. In the crystal, charge-assisted ammonium-N—H...O(carboxylate) hydrogen-bonding connects two cations and two anions into a four-ion aggregate. Two positions were resolved for one of the phenyl rings with the major component having a site occupancy factor of 0.60 (3).

  3. The crystal structure of the title compound, hexaaquanickel(II) dichloride–1,4,7,10,13,16-hexaoxacyclooctadecane–water (1/2/2), [Ni(H2O)6]Cl2·2C12H24O6·2H2O, is reported. The asymmetric unit contains half of the Ni(OH2)6moiety with a formula of C12H32ClNi0.50O10at 105 K and triclinic (P1) symmetry. The [Ni(OH2)6]2+cation has close to ideal octahedral geometry with O—Ni—O bond angles that are within 3° of idealized values. The supramolecular structure includes hydrogen bonding between the water ligands, 18-crown-6 molecules, Clanions, and co-crystallized water solvent. Two crown ether molecules flank the [Ni(OH2)6]2+molecule at the axial positions in a sandwich-like structure. The relatively symmetric hydrogen-bonding network is enabled by small Clcounter-ions and likely influences the more idealized octahedral geometry of [Ni(OH2)6]2+

    The crystal structures of three bridged bimetallic molecular compounds, namely, triaqua-2κ 3 O -μ-fluorido-pentafluorido-1κ 5 F -(1,10-phenanthroline-2κ 2 N , N ′)copper(II)titanium(IV) monohydrate, [Cu(TiF 6 )(phen)(H 2 O) 3 ]·H 2 O (phen is 1,10-phenanthroline, C 12 H 8 N 2 ), (I), triaqua-2κ 3 O -μ-fluorido-pentafluorido-1κ 5 F -(1,10-phenanthroline-2κ 2 N , N ′)copper(II)zirconium(IV) monohydrate, [Cu(ZrF 6 )(phen)(H 2 O) 3 ]·H 2 O, (II), and triaqua-2κ 3 O -μ-fluorido-pentafluorido-1κ 5 F -(1,10-phenanthroline-2κ 2 N , N ′)copper(II)hafnium(IV) monohydrate, [Cu(HfF 6 )(phen)(H 2 O) 3 ]·H 2 O, (III), and one molecular salt, bis[diaquafluorido(1,10-phenanthroline-κ 2 N , N ′)copper(II)] hexafluoridohafnate(IV) dihydrate, [CuF(phen)(H 2 O) 2 ] 2 [HfF 6 ]·2H 2 O, (IV), are reported. The bridged bimetallic compounds adopt Λ-shaped configurations, with the octahedrally coordinated copper(II) center linked to the fluorinated early transition metal via a fluoride linkage. The extended structures of these Λ-shaped compounds are organized through both intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds and intermolecular π–π stacking. The salt compound [Cu(phen)(H 2 O) 2 F] 2 [HfF 6 ]·H 2 O displays an isolated square-pyramidal Cu(phen)(H 2 O) 2 F + complex linked to other cationic complexes and isolated HfF 6 2− anions through intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions.

The 1:1 cocrystal of 5-fluorocytosine (5FC) and 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (4HB), C4H4FN3O·C7H6O2has been synthesized and its structure characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and Hirshfeld surface analysis. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinicP21/cspace group. A robust supramolecular architecture is stabilized by N—H...O, N—H...N, C—H...O and C—H...F hydrogen bonds, formingR22(8),R44(22),R66(32), andR88(34) ring motifs. The N—H...O and N—H...N hydrogen bonds form strong directional interactions, contributing to theR22(8) andR88(34) motifs through dimeric and extended ring structures. O—H...O interactions link 5FC and 4HB molecules, generating anR66(32) ring that enhances the packing. Weaker C—H...F bonds help form theR44(22) tetrameric motif, supporting the overall three-dimensional supramolecular framework. Additionally, C—F...π interactions between the fluorine atom and the aromatic ring add further to the crystal cohesion. Hirshfeld surface analysis and two-dimensional fingerprint plots confirm that O...H/H...O contacts are the most significant, highlighting the central role of hydrogen bonding in the stability and organization of the crystal structure.
