We present a search for an eV-scale sterile neutrino using 7.5 years of data from the IceCube DeepCore detector. The analysis uses a sample of 21,914 events with energies between 5 and 150 GeV to search for sterile neutrinos through atmospheric muon neutrino disappearance. Improvements in event selection and treatment of systematic uncertainties provide greater statistical power compared to previous DeepCore sterile neutrino searches. Our results are compatible with the absence of mixing between active and sterile neutrino states, and we place constraints on the mixing matrix elements and at 90% CL under the assumption that . These null results add to the growing tension between anomalous appearance results and constraints from disappearance searches in the sterile neutrino landscape.                             Search for a Hidden Sector Scalar from Kaon Decay in the Dimuon Final State at ICARUS
                        
                    
    
            We present a search for long-lived particles (LLPs), produced in kaon decays, that decay to two muons inside the ICARUS neutrino detector. This channel would be a signal of hidden sector models that can address outstanding issues in particle physics such as the strong CP problem and the microphysical origin of dark matter. The search is performed with data collected in the Neutrinos at the Main Injector (NuMI) beam at Fermilab corresponding to protons-on-target. No new physics signal is observed, and we set world leading limits on heavy QCD axions, as well as for the Higgs portal scalar among dedicated searches. Limits are also presented in a model-independent way applicable to any new physics model predicting the process , for a LLP . This result is the first search for new physics performed with the ICARUS detector at Fermilab. It paves the way for the future program of LLP searches at ICARUS.             A search for proton decay into and a meson has been performed using data from a exposure (6050.3 live days) of Super-Kamiokande. Compared to previous searches this work introduces an improved model of the intranuclear interaction cross section, resulting in a factor of 2 reduction in uncertainties from this source and increase in signal efficiency. No significant data excess was found above the expected number of atmospheric neutrino background events resulting in no indication of proton decay into either mode. Lower limits on the proton partial lifetime of for and for at the 90% CL were set. These limits are around 1.5 times longer than our previous study and are the most stringent to date.             A combination of searches for a new resonance decaying into a Higgs boson pair is presented, using up to of collision data at recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The combination includes searches performed in three decay channels: , , and . No excess above the expected Standard Model background is observed and upper limits are set at the 95% confidence level on the production cross section of Higgs boson pairs originating from the decay of a narrow scalar resonance with mass in the range 251 GeV–5 TeV. The observed (expected) limits are in the range 0.96–600 fb (1.2–390 fb).             We report a search for a heavy neutral lepton (HNL) that mixes predominantly with . The search utilizes data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy collider. The data sample was collected at and just below the center-of-mass energies of the and resonances and has an integrated luminosity of , corresponding to events. We search for production of the HNL (denoted ) in the decay followed by its decay via . The search focuses on the parameter-space region in which the HNL is long-lived, so that the originate from a common vertex that is significantly displaced from the collision point of the KEKB beams. Consistent with the expected background yield, one event is observed in the data sample after application of all the event-selection criteria.             A search is presented for an extended Higgs sector with two new particles, and , in the process . Novel neural networks classify events with diphotons that are merged and determine the diphoton masses. The search uses LHC proton-proton collision data at collected with the CMS detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of . No evidence of such resonances is seen.
