Title: Scale separation on AdS3×S3 with and without supersymmetry
Six-dimensional chiral gauged Einstein-Maxwell supergravity admits a two-parameter rotating dyonic string solution whose near horizon limit is the direct product of three-dimensional Anti-De Sitter space and a squashed three-sphere S 3 . For a particular relation between the two parameters, the solution preserves 1 / 2 supersymmetry. We determine the complete Kaluza-Klein spectrum of the theory around these AdS 3 backgrounds. For the supersymmetric backgrounds, the states organize into infinite towers of long and short multiplets of OSp ( 2 | 2 ) . In a certain limit of parameters, both the supersymmetric and the nonsupersymmetric spectra exhibit scale separation. In the latter case there are five topologically massive vectors and five scalars retaining finite masses with integer conformal dimensions, and in the supersymmetric case there are supersymmetric partners with half integer conformal dimensions, while all other masses diverge. 1. The Ξ b 0 ( ) Ξ c ( 3055 ) + ( 0 ) ( D + ( 0 ) Λ ) π decay chains are observed, and the spin-parity of Ξ c ( 3055 ) + ( 0 ) baryons is determined for the first time. The measurement is performed using proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of s = 13 TeV , corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb 1 , recorded by the LHCb experiment between 2016 and 2018. The spin-parity of the Ξ c ( 3055 ) + ( 0 ) baryons is determined to be 3 / 2 + with a significance of more than 6.5 σ ( 3.5 σ ) compared to all other tested hypotheses. The up-down asymmetries of the Ξ b 0 ( ) Ξ c ( 3055 ) + ( 0 ) π transitions are measured to be 0.92 ± 0.10 ± 0.05 ( 0.92 ± 0.16 ± 0.22 ), consistent with maximal parity violation, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. These results support the hypothesis that the Ξ c ( 3055 ) + ( 0 ) baryons correspond to the first D -wave λ -mode excitation of the Ξ c flavor triplet. © 2025 CERN, for the LHCb Collaboration2025CERN

  2. We report the first evidence for the h b ( 2 P ) ϒ ( 1 S ) η transition with a significance of 3.5 standard deviations. The decay branching fraction is measured to be B [ h b ( 2 P ) ϒ ( 1 S ) η ] = ( 7.1 3.2 + 3.7 ± 0.8 ) × 10 3 , which is noticeably smaller than expected. We also set upper limits on π 0 transitions of B [ h b ( 2 P ) ϒ ( 1 S ) π 0 ] < 1.8 × 10 3 , and B [ h b ( 1 P ) ϒ ( 1 S ) π 0 ] < 1.8 × 10 3 , at the 90% confidence level. These results are obtained with a 131.4 fb 1 data sample collected near the ϒ ( 5 S ) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e collider. 3. We measure the complete set of angular coefficients J i for exclusive B ¯ D * ν ¯ decays ( = e , μ ). Our analysis uses the full 711 fb 1 Belle dataset with hadronic tag-side reconstruction. The results allow us to extract the form factors describing the B ¯ D * transition and the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element | V cb | . Using recent lattice QCD calculations for the hadronic form factors, we find | V cb | = ( 40.7 ± 0.7 ) × 10 3 using the Boyd-Grinstein-Lebed parametrization, compatible with determinations from inclusive semileptonic decays. We search for lepton flavor universality violation as a function of the hadronic recoil parameter w and investigate the differences of the electron and muon angular distributions. We find no deviation from standard model expectations. Published by the American Physical Society2024

  4. In the bottomonium sector, the hindered magnetic dipole transitions between P-wave states h b ( 2 P ) χ b J ( 1 P ) γ , J = 0 , 1, 2, are expected to be severely suppressed according to the relativized quark model, due to the spin flip of the b quark. Nevertheless, a recent model following the coupled-channel approach predicts the corresponding branching fractions to be enhanced by orders of magnitude. In this Letter, we report the first search for such transitions. We find no significant signals and set upper limits at 90% confidence level on the corresponding branching fractions: B [ h b ( 2 P ) γ χ b 0 ( 1 P ) ] < 2.7 × 10 1 , B [ h b ( 2 P ) γ χ b 1 ( 1 P ) ] < 5.4 × 10 3 and B [ h b ( 2 P ) γ χ b 2 ( 1 P ) ] < 1.3 × 10 2 . These values help to constrain the parameters of the coupled-channel models. The results are obtained using a 121.4 fb 1 data sample taken around s = 10.860 GeV with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e collider. 5. A search for violation of the charge-parity ( C P ) symmetry in the D + K K + π + decay is presented, with proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.4 fb 1 , collected at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the LHCb detector. A novel model-independent technique is used to compare the D + and D phase-space distributions, with instrumental asymmetries subtracted using the D s + K K + π + decay as a control channel. The p value for the hypothesis of C P conservation is 8.1%. The C P asymmetry observables A C P | S ϕ π + = ( 0.95 ± 0.4 3 stat ± 0.2 6 syst ) × 10 3 and A C P | S K ¯ * 0 K + = ( 0.26 ± 0.5 6 stat ± 0.1 8 syst ) × 10 3 are also measured. These results show no evidence of C P violation and represent the most sensitive search performed through the phase space of a multibody decay. © 2024 CERN, for the LHCb Collaboration2024CERN
