Title: Holography for $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 on $$ \mathbbm{RP} $$4
A bstract We propose a holographic description of $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 4 super Yang-Mills on the four-dimensional real projective space $$ \mathbbm{RP} $$ RP 4 . We first construct the dual background in the framework of five-dimensional $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 8 gauged supergravity, and then uplift it to a new one-half BPS solution of type IIB supergravity. A salient feature of our solution is the presence of a bulk naked singularity whose local behavior resembles that of an O1 − plane in flat space.  more » « less

  1. A bstract A holographic duality was recently established between an $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 4 non-geometric AdS 4 solution of type IIB supergravity in the so-called S-fold class, and a three- dimensional conformal field theory (CFT) defined as a limit of $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 4 super-Yang-Mills at an interface. Using gauged supergravity, the $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 conformal manifold (CM) of this CFT has been assessed to be two-dimensional. Here, we holographically characterise the large- N operator spectrum of the marginally-deformed CFT. We do this by, firstly, providing the algebraic structure of the complete Kaluza-Klein (KK) spectrum on the associated two-parameter family of AdS4 solutions. And, secondly, by computing the $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 super-multiplet dimensions at the first few KK levels on a lattice in the CM, using new exceptional field theory techniques. Our KK analysis also allows us to establish that, at least at large N , this $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 CM is topologically a non-compact cylindrical Riemann surface bounded on only one side.

  2. A bstract In this paper, we continue the study of Janus and RG-flow interfaces in three dimensional supergravity continuing the work presented in [1]. We consider $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 8 gauged supergravity theories which have a $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = (4 , 4) AdS 3 vacuum with D 1 (2 , 1; α ) × D 1 (2 , 1; α ) symmetry for general α . We derive the BPS flow equations and find numerical solutions. Some holographic quantities such as the entanglement entropy are calculated.

  3. A bstract We study the mass-deformed sphere free energy of three-dimensional $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 superconformal field theories with holographic duals. Building on previous observations, we conjecture a proportionality relation between the sphere free energy on the boundary and the prepotential of the four-dimensional $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 supergravity theory in the bulk. We verify this formula by explicit computation in several examples of supergravity theories with vector multiplets and hypermultiplets.

  4. A bstract We compute 1 /λ corrections to the four-point functions of half-BPS operators in SU( N ) $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 4 super-Yang-Mills theory at large N and large ’t Hooft coupling λ = $$ {g}_{\mathrm{YM}}^2N $$ g YM 2 N using two methods. Firstly, we relate integrals of these correlators to derivatives of the mass deformed S 4 free energy, which was computed at leading order in large N and to all orders in 1 /λ using supersymmetric localization. Secondly, we use AdS/CFT to relate these 1 /λ corrections to higher derivative corrections to supergravity for scattering amplitudes of Kaluza-Klein scalars in IIB string theory on AdS 5 × S 5 , which in the flat space limit are known from worldsheet calculations. These two methods match at the order corresponding to the tree level R 4 interaction in string theory, which provides a precise check of AdS/CFT beyond supergravity, and allow us to derive the holographic correlators to tree level D 4 R 4 order. Combined with constraints from [1], our results can be used to derive CFT data to one-loop D 4 R 4 order. Finally, we use AdS/CFT to fix these correlators in the limit where N is taken to be large while g YM is kept fixed. In this limit, we present a conjecture for the small mass limit of the S 4 partition function that includes all instanton corrections and is written in terms of the same Eisenstein series that appear in the study of string theory scattering amplitudes.

A bstract Exceptional Field Theory has been recently shown to be very powerful to compute Kaluza-Klein spectra. Using these techniques, the mass matrix of Kaluza-Klein vector perturbations about a specific class of AdS 4 solutions of D = 11 and massive type IIA supergravity is determined. These results are then employed to characterise the complete supersymmetric spectrum about some notable $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 and $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 3 AdS 4 solutions in this class, which are dual to specific three-dimensional superconformal Chern-Simons field theories.
