Title: Draft genome sequence of Vreelandella neptunia strain 04GJ23 isolated from the underwater Hawaii seamounts
We report a draft genome sequence for Vreelandella neptunia strain 04GJ23 isolated from the underwater Hawaii seamounts. The whole-genome sequence will help understand the ecology and evolution of various ecotypes that are physiologically distinct from the surrounding environments.  more » « less

ABSTRACT Here, we report the genome sequence and characterization for a Blattabacterium strain isolated from the viviparous cockroach, Diploptera punctata , which provides amino acids critical for intrauterine embryo development. The genome was assembled by sequencing of the cockroach fat body, which is the location of this obligate symbiont.

  2. ABSTRACT Here, we present the genome sequence of a member of the group I Acidobacteria , Acidipila sp. strain EB88, which was isolated from temperate forest soil. Like many other members of its class, its genome contains evidence of the potential to utilize a broad range of sugars.

  3. Sarcoramphus papa is a New World Vulture found predominantly in tropical lowland forests stretching from southern Mexico to northern Argentina. We present the whole genome sequence of this species. Illumina paired-end reads were assembled by a de novo method followed by a finishing step. The raw and assembled data are publicly available via GenBank: Sequence Read Archive (SRR19167646) and assembled genome (GCA_027580115).

  4. ABSTRACT Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Microbacterium sp. strain Gd 4-13, isolated from late Pleistocene permafrost of marine origin located on the Gydanskiy Peninsula. Genome sequence analysis was performed to understand strain survivability mechanisms under permafrost conditions and to expand biotechnology applications.
