A bstract Using a data sample of 980 fb − 1 collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e + e − collider, we study for the first time the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decays $$ {\Omega}_c^0\to {\Xi}^{-}{\pi}^{+} $$ Ω c 0 → Ξ − π + and Ω − K + and the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $$ {\Omega}_c^0\to {\Xi}^{-}{K}^{+} $$ Ω c 0 → Ξ − K + . Evidence for an $$ {\Omega}_c^0 $$ Ω c 0 signal in the $$ {\Omega}_c^0 $$ Ω c 0 → Ξ − π + mode is reported with a significance of 4 . 5 σ including systematic uncertainties. The ratio of branching fractions to the normalization mode $$ {\Omega}_c^0 $$ Ω c 0 → Ω − π + is measured to be $$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Omega}_c^0\to {\Xi}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right)/\mathcal{B}\left({\Omega}_c^0\to {\Omega}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right)=0.253\pm 0.052\left(\textrm{stat}.\right)\pm 0.030\left(\textrm{syst}.\right). $$ B Ω c 0 → Ξ − π + / B Ω c 0 → Ω − π + = 0.253 ± 0.052 stat . ± 0.030 syst . . No significant signals of $$ {\Omega}_c^0\to {\Xi}^{-}{K}^{+} $$ Ω c 0 → Ξ − K + and Ω − K + modes are found. The upper limits at 90% confidence level on ratios of branching fractions are determined to be $$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Omega}_c^0\to {\Xi}^{-}{K}^{+}\right)/\mathcal{B}\left({\Omega}_c^0\to {\Omega}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right)<0.070 $$ B Ω c 0 → Ξ − K + / B Ω c 0 → Ω − π + < 0.070 and $$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Omega}_c^0\to {\Omega}^{-}{K}^{+}\right)/\mathcal{B}\left({\Omega}_c^0\to {\Omega}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right)<0.29. $$ B Ω c 0 → Ω − K + / B Ω c 0 → Ω − π + < 0.29 .more » « less

null (Ed.)Abstract The invariant differential cross section of inclusive $$\omega (782)$$ ω ( 782 ) meson production at midrapidity ( $$|y|<0.5$$ | y | < 0.5 ) in pp collisions at $$\sqrt{s}=7\,\hbox {TeV}$$ s = 7 TeV was measured with the ALICE detector at the LHC over a transverse momentum range of $$2< p_{\mathrm {T}}< 17\,\hbox {GeV}/c$$ 2 < p T < 17 GeV / c . The $$\omega $$ ω meson was reconstructed via its $$\omega \rightarrow \pi ^+\pi ^-\pi ^0$$ ω → π + π - π 0 decay channel. The measured $$\omega $$ ω production cross section is compared to various calculations: PYTHIA 8.2 Monash 2013 describes the data, while PYTHIA 8.2 Tune 4C overestimates the data by about 50%. A recent NLO calculation, which includes a model describing the fragmentation of the whole vector-meson nonet, describes the data within uncertainties below $$6\,\hbox {GeV}/c$$ 6 GeV / c , while it overestimates the data by up to 50% for higher $$p_{\mathrm {T}}$$ p T . The $$\omega /\pi ^0$$ ω / π 0 ratio is in agreement with previous measurements at lower collision energies and the PYTHIA calculations. In addition, the measurement is compatible with transverse mass scaling within the measured $$p_{\mathrm {T}}$$ p T range and the ratio is constant with $$C^{\omega /\pi ^{0}}= 0.67 \pm 0.03 \text {~(stat)~} \pm 0.04 \text {~(sys)~}$$ C ω / π 0 = 0.67 ± 0.03 (stat) ± 0.04 (sys) above a transverse momentum of $$2.5\,\hbox {GeV}/c$$ 2.5 GeV / c .more » « less

null (Ed.)Abstract. This work measured $ \mathrm{d}\sigma/\mathrm{d}\Omega$ d σ / d Ω for neutral kaon photoproduction reactions from threshold up to a c.m. energy of 1855MeV, focussing specifically on the $ \gamma p\rightarrow K^0\Sigma^+$ γ p → K 0 Σ + , $ \gamma n\rightarrow K^0\Lambda$ γ n → K 0 Λ , and $ \gamma n\rightarrow K^0 \Sigma^0$ γ n → K 0 Σ 0 reactions. Our results for $ \gamma n\rightarrow K^0 \Sigma^0$ γ n → K 0 Σ 0 are the first-ever measurements for that reaction. These data will provide insight into the properties of $ N^{\ast}$ N * resonances and, in particular, will lead to an improved knowledge about those states that couple only weakly to the $ \pi N$ π N channel. Integrated cross sections were extracted by fitting the differential cross sections for each reaction as a series of Legendre polynomials and our results are compared with prior experimental results and theoretical predictions.more » « less

Abstract We evaluate the
decay width from the perspective that the$$a_1(1260) \rightarrow \pi \sigma (f_0(500))$$ resonance is dynamically generated from the pseudoscalar–vector interaction and the$$a_1(1260)$$ arises from the pseudoscalar–pseudoscalar interaction. A triangle mechanism with$$\sigma $$ followed by$$a_1(1260) \rightarrow \rho \pi $$ and a fusion of two pions within the loop to produce the$$\rho \rightarrow \pi \pi $$ provides the mechanism for this decay under these assumptions for the nature of the two resonances. We obtain widths of the order of 13–22 MeV. Present experimental results differ substantially from each other, suggesting that extra efforts should be devoted to the precise extraction of this important partial decay width, which should provide valuable information on the nature of the axial vector and scalar meson resonances and help clarify the role of the$$\sigma $$ channel in recent lattice QCD calculations of the$$\pi \sigma $$ .$$a_1$$ -
Abstract Let
be an elliptically fibered$$X\rightarrow {{\mathbb {P}}}^1$$ K 3 surface, admitting a sequence of Ricci-flat metrics collapsing the fibers. Let$$\omega _{i}$$ V be a holomorphicSU (n ) bundle overX , stable with respect to . Given the corresponding sequence$$\omega _i$$ of Hermitian–Yang–Mills connections on$$\Xi _i$$ V , we prove that, ifE is a generic fiber, the restricted sequence converges to a flat connection$$\Xi _i|_{E}$$ . Furthermore, if the restriction$$A_0$$ is of the form$$V|_E$$ for$$\oplus _{j=1}^n{\mathcal {O}}_E(q_j-0)$$ n distinct points , then these points uniquely determine$$q_j\in E$$ .$$A_0$$
