Title: Celestial gluon and graviton OPE at loop level
Abstract In this paper, we analyze the loop corrections to celestial OPE for gluons and gravitons. Even at the loop level, the soft gluons and gravitons have conformal dimensions ∆ = 1−$${\mathbb{Z}}_{\ge 0}$$. The only novelty is the presence of higher poles. At one loop level, there are two types of conformal soft gluons with a single pole and a double pole in the ∆ plane. The celestial OPEs are obtained using the collinear splitting functions. In the case of gluons, the splitting functions receive loop corrections. After taking the holomorphic soft limit, we find the OPE of conformal soft gluons. We find a novel mixing of simple and double poles soft gluon operators in the OPE. In the case of gravitons, where splitting functions are known to be all loop exact, we still find a wedge algebra ofwwhich is in addition to the wedge algebra ofw1+∞already found by Strominger.  more » « less

The operator product expansion (OPE) on the celestial sphere of conformal primary gluons and gravitons is studied. Asymptotic symmetries imply recursion relations between products of operators whose conformal weights differ by half-integers. It is shown, for tree-level Einstein-Yang-Mills theory, that these recursion relations are so constraining that they completely fix the leading celestial OPE coefficients in terms of the Euler beta function. The poles in the beta functions are associated with conformally soft currents.

  2. Abstract We combine supersymmetric localization with the numerical conformal bootstrap to bound the scaling dimension and OPE coefficient of the lowest-dimension unprotected operator in$$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 4 SU(N) super-Yang-Mills theory for a wide range ofNand Yang-Mills couplingsgYM. We find that our bounds are approximately saturated by weak coupling results at smallgYM. Furthermore, at largeNour bounds interpolate between integrability results for the Konishi operator at smallgYMand strong-coupling results, including the first few stringy corrections, for the lowest-dimension double-trace operator at largegYM. In particular, our scaling dimension bounds describe the level splitting between the single- and double-trace operators at intermediate coupling.

  3. Abstract We determine tree level, all-order celestial operator product expansions (OPEs) of gluons and gravitons in the maximally helicity violating (MHV) sector. We start by obtaining the all-order collinear expansions of MHV amplitudes using the inverse soft recursion relations that they satisfy. These collinear expansions are recast as celestial OPE expansions in bases of momentum as well as boost eigenstates. This shows that inverse soft recursion for MHV amplitudes is dual to OPE recursion in celestial conformal field theory.

  4. We construct two-dimensional quantum states associated to four-dimensional linearized rotating self-dual black holes in (2, 2) signature Klein space. The states are comprised of global conformal primaries circulating on the celestial torus, the Kleinian analog of the celestial sphere. By introducing a generalized tower of Goldstone operators we identify the states as coherent exponentiations carrying an infinite tower of w1+∞charges or soft hair. We relate our results to recent approaches to black hole scattering, including a connection to Wilson lines,$$ \mathcal{S} $$ S -matrix results, and celestial holography in curved backgrounds.

  5. Abstract We present next-to-leading order perturbative QCD predictions for four-jet-like event-shape observables in hadronic Higgs decays. To this end, we take into account two Higgs-decay categories: involving either the Yukawa-induced decay to a$${\text{b}}\overline{{\text{b}} }$$pair or the loop-induced decay to two gluons via an effective Higgs-gluon-gluon coupling. We present results for distributions related to the event-shape variables thrust minor, light-hemisphere mass, narrow jet broadening,D-parameter, and Durham four-to-three-jet transition variable. For each of these observables we study the impact of higher-order corrections and compare their size and shape in the two Higgs-decay categories. We find large NLO corrections with a visible shape difference between the two decay modes, leading to a significant shift of the peak in distributions related to the H→gg decay mode.
