    We present a classification theorem for separable amenable simple stably projectionless C -algebras with finite nuclear dimension whose K0 vanish on traces which satisfy the Universal Coefficient Theorem. One of C -algebras in the class is denoted by Z0 which has a unique tracial state, K_0(Z_0) = Z and K1(Z_0) = {0}. Let A and B be two separable amenable simple C -algebras satisfying the UCT. We show that A ⊗ Z_0 = B ⊗ Z_0 if and only if Ell(A ⊗ Z_0 ) = Ell(B ⊗ Z_0 ). A class of simple separable C -algebras which are approximately sub-homogeneous whose spectra having bounded dimension is shown to exhaust all possible Elliott invariant for C -algebras of the form A ⊗ Z_0 , where A is any finite separable simple amenable C -algebras.

    A classification theorem is obtained for a class of unital simple separable amenable Z-stable C*-algebras which exhausts all possi- ble values of the Elliott invariant for unital stably finite simple separable amenable Z-stable C*-algebras. Moreover, it contains all unital simple separable amenable C∗-algebras which satisfy the UCT and have finite rational tracial rank.

    A class of C*-algebras, to be called those of generalized tracial rank one, is introduced. A second class of unital simple separable amenable C*-algebras, those whose tensor products with UHF-algebras of infinite type are in the first class, to be referred to as those of rational generalized tracial rank one, is proved to exhaust all possible values of the Elliott invariant for unital finite simple separable amenable Z-stable C*- algebras. A number of results toward the classification of the second class are presented including an isomorphism theorem for a special sub-class of the first class, leading to the general classification of all unital simple C*- algebras with rational generalized tracial rank one in Part II.

    The class of simple separable KK-contractible (KK-equivalent to \{0\} ) C*-algebra s which have finite nuclear dimension is shown to be classified by the Elliott invariant. In particular, the class of C*-algebras A\otimes K is classifiable, where A is a simple separable C*-algebra with finite nuclear dimension and is the simple inductive limit of Razak algebras with unique trace, which is bounded

  5. We study a class of stably projectionless simple C*-algebras which may be viewed as having generalized tracial rank one in analogy with the unital case. Some struc- tural questions concerning these simple C*-algebras are studied. The paper also serves as a technical support for the classification of separable stably projectionless simple amenable Jiang-Su stable C*-algebras.

A<sc>bstract</sc> Thepp→W±(→μ±νμ)Xcross-sections are measured at a proton-proton centre-of-mass energy$$ \sqrt{s}=5.02 $$ s = 5.02 TeV using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 100 pb−1recorded by the LHCb experiment. Considering muons in the pseudorapidity range 2.2< η <4.4, the cross-sections are measured differentially in twelve intervals of muon transverse momentum between 28< pT<52 GeV. Integrated overpT, the measured cross-sections are$$ {\displaystyle \begin{array}{c}{\sigma}_{W^{+}\to {\mu}^{+}{\nu}_{\mu }}=300.9\pm 2.4\pm 3.8\pm 6.0\ \textrm{pb},\\ {}{\sigma}_{W^{-}\to {\mu}^{-}{\overline{\nu}}_{\mu }}=236.9\pm 2.1\pm 2.7\pm 4.7\ \textrm{pb},\end{array}} $$ σ W + μ + ν μ = 300.9 ± 2.4 ± 3.8 ± 6.0 pb , σ W μ ν ¯ μ = 236.9 ± 2.1 ± 2.7 ± 4.7 pb , where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second are systematic, and the third are associated with the luminosity calibration. These integrated results are consistent with theoretical predictions. This analysis introduces a new method to determine theW-boson mass using the measured differential cross-sections corrected for detector effects. The measurement is performed on this statistically limited dataset as a proof of principle and yields$$ {m}_W=80369\pm 130\pm 33\ \textrm{MeV}, $$ m W = 80369 ± 130 ± 33 MeV , where the first uncertainty is experimental and the second is theoretical.

  7. This Letter reports the first measurement of the oscillation amplitude and frequency of reactor antineutrinos at Daya Bay via neutron capture on hydrogen using 1958 days of data. With over 3.6 million signal candidates, an optimized candidate selection, improved treatment of backgrounds and efficiencies, refined energy calibration, and an energy response model for the capture-on-hydrogen sensitive region, the relative ν ¯ e rates and energy spectra variation among the near and far detectors gives sin 2 2 θ 13 = 0.075 9 0.0049 + 0.0050 and Δ m 32 2 = ( 2.7 2 0.15 + 0.14 ) × 10 3 eV 2 assuming the normal neutrino mass ordering, and Δ m 32 2 = ( 2.8 3 0.14 + 0.15 ) × 10 3 eV 2 for the inverted neutrino mass ordering. This estimate of sin 2 2 θ 13 is consistent with and essentially independent from the one obtained using the capture-on-gadolinium sample at Daya Bay. The combination of these two results yields sin 2 2 θ 13 = 0.0833 ± 0.0022 , which represents an 8% relative improvement in precision regarding the Daya Bay full 3158-day capture-on-gadolinium result. We perform a model-independent measurement of the D 0 D ¯ 0 mixing parameters using samples of e + e -collision data collected by the Belle and Belle II experiments that have integrated luminosities of 951 fb 1 and 408 fb 1 , respectively. Approximately 2.05 × 10 6 neutral D mesons are reconstructed in the D 0 K S 0 π + π channel, with the neutral D flavor tagged by the charge of the pion in the D * + D 0 π + decay. Assuming charge-parity symmetry, the mixing parameters are measured to be x = ( 4.0 ± 1.7 ± 0.4 ) × 10 3 and y = ( 2.9 ± 1.4 ± 0.3 ) × 10 3 , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The results are consistent with previous determinations.

  9. The first dedicated Z -boson mass measurement at the LHC with Z μ + μ decays is reported. The dataset uses proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, recorded in 2016 by the LHCb experiment, and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb 1 . A template fit to the μ + μ mass distribution yields the following result for the Z -boson mass: m Z = 91 , 185.7 ± 8.3 ± 3.9 MeV , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This result is consistent with previous measurements and predictions from global electroweak fits.

  10. The substructure of jets in quantum chromodynamics (QCD) has garnered significant attention with the advent of infrared- and collinear-safe clustering algorithms and observables. A key question emerging from these studies is how in-jet emissions at soft and hard energy scales, across collinear and wide angles relative to the emitter, differ with the mass of the emitting parton. The Lund jet plane (LJP) is a perturbatively well-defined substructure observable that maps the radiation pattern of jets onto a plane, visually distinguishing emissions with different kinematic properties. Comparing LJP for jets containing hadrons of low versus high mass enables the testing of QCD splitting functions from first-principles calculations across both soft and hard regimes and at different radiation angles. This article presents the first measurement of the LJP for light-quark-enriched and beauty-initiated jets at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV at LHCb. This marks the first direct observation of the dead-cone effect in beauty-quark jets, measured in the collinear region of the LJP.
